In answer to the question posed by another reader and posted in the thread below this one [ed: the comment in the post below was deleted at the author's request. The question was "why the 2000 primary and not the 2004 primary?"]: The 2000 primary was used instead of 2004 because President Bush had no primary competition in 2004. Remember, it asked who you voted for in the primary and not the election. Hope this helps.
